a Concert done in my Career where
our Fans weren't standing all over
the Hall in front of the Stage. singing
with us on a Neil Young hit song Hey,
Hey My My, Rock and Roll will never
Die.... But we sure as hell will.
Ramband 出道以玩外國的 hard rock
heavy metal 打響名堂,曾在香港大會
堂音樂廳舉行音樂會,因樂迷反應過度
激烈,場地受到破壞,大會堂自此禁制舉
行搖滾音樂會。
Ramband的最後一次音樂會在這唱片
發行後的不久舉行，地點是在敞大的沙
田馬場,這次音樂會亦為香港有史以來
最盛大的本地樂隊露天搖滾音樂會,
那時的樂迷華洋雜處，
場面鼎盛，時至今日,香港還未出現
過一隊號召力可與之媲美的本地
搖滾樂隊呢！特別一提這樂隊最特出的
兩位成員Peter Ng 是香港玩 hard rock
guitar的鼻祖,很多香港結他手曾拜師門下,
曾撰寫過香 港史無前例的搖滾結
他教材,亦是當年香港的首 席伴奏樂師
Don Ashley 被譽為 香港
做 完 第 一 張 唱 片 因 為 樂 迷
太 瘋 狂 而 被 禁 止 演 出 後 有
段 時 間 沒 有 在 公 眾 面 前 現

我們的作者 Jenny.Gipson 發現這個獨特的 男人也是 全城最好的鼓
手 Don Ashley 在香港演出，他重覆地被警告不要煽動麻煩回憶四年前，
唐龍還是"Ramband" 的成員當時在伊利沙伯 體育館演「我已不斷重複地要
求群眾坐低，群眾當然不肯坐低，因為他們在投入享受音樂 而非找麻煩
在第五首音樂之後主辦單位竟亮 起全場館的燈. 破壞了全場演出。
長期以來所有政府場地都 禁止我們演出 似乎不公平唐龍說。
在中環大會堂演出後，樂迷們極度興奮在乘搭天星渡海輪的時候上
下層的樂迷都一起在唱我們剛 演奏的的歌曲( 著名樂隊Queen的歌曲
"We Will Rock You"，直至到達九龍，成為翌日報章頭條。
在香港音樂歷史至今從沒有發生過。
此次地下音樂會已是同類音樂會的第二次舉行。記得上回的1st
地下音樂會就曾令所有到場觀衆為之拍案叫絕一致認為是年
來本地樂壇中 最有份 量的一個音樂會當然上次最哄動的就
是 Ramband 的精彩演出。而自此之後，整個樂把 Ramband
實為全港最佳樂隊美譽傳播開去。Ramband各隊員的一流技術能不叫
人佩服得五體投地，特別是 Don Ashley 的鼓與 Peter Ng 之主音結他。
香港突然出現了這隊造詣足可與外國著名樂隊一較高下的樂隊誠為本地樂
壇之光榮。 就是前陣來港演唱的 Sergio Mendes 樂隊及 Don Louis
(著名樂0隊音响控制師，他跟 Stevie Wonder，
Emerson、Lake & Palmer 等都甚為諗熟。) 而一隊像Sergio Mendes
這樣在樂壇屹立多年的樂隊，當然會有如此一位非等閒之 輩的音响控制專家
Don Louis 亦每晚親臨 Ramband 演奏之處捧場，甚至認為此樂隊是他近年
來在各地巡迥演出所見到最好的一隊。由此可想而知 Ramband 絕對是香港第
一隊有資格與外國著名搖擺樂隊分庭抗禮的 超級樂 隊。

Ramband 是79 年代香港 rock 壇的
大哥大大,奈何當年本地 rock band
並不吃香,至80年 代初才有唱片公司
替他們發行這張樂隊唯一的黑膠大碟,
發行量亦極少,銷量不用說也知是不太
理想。但另一極度諷刺，是這張碟卻
打上了英國獨立大碟榜，名唱片騎師
Kasey Kasem 亦在他主持的電視節目
American Billboard上特別讚譽過這
張來自東方的搖滾唱片(我是親眼看到
這個節目才得知這個鮮為人知的消息)
亦是至目前為止Ramband是唯一能闖
上英國唱片榜的香港樂隊。
We were so lucky to have so much

album and in turn Rock & Roll
Love Affair a track off the album
became a hit during that era was
titled Rock & Roll Love Affair and
the second plug song to
follow was going to be "Someone
Like You"
Recorded in the History books
of Pop Music in Hong Kong, no
Artiste or Group ever and even
till this date could set the records
straighter than straight ok?
It was Headline news the following
day after our Concert at the City
Hall was that most of the audience
from the concert packed the Star
Ferry boat on the way back to
Kowloon were all singing or
chanting Queen's “We Will Rock
You “all the way across the harbor
