自 Ramband 後，香 港 的 搖 擺 樂 壇 便 沉 寂 了 下 令樂 迷 都 幾乎 忘 記 了 在 本 地 還    們 一 個 天 大 喜 訊為 了 想 了 解 一 下Chyna 我 們 地 找  這 四 位 仁在 一    個 輕 鬆  的 氣 氛 下 做 了 一次 專 訪不 過 的 確 有 很多 人 對 Chyna 並 不 看 好 其 他 唱 片公 司 都 一 樣所 謂 同 行 如 敵 國」甚 至 起 初 很 多 電 台 的 DJ 拒 絕 播 我們 的 歌我 們 組 織 Chyna   希 望 能 有 一 隊 Band 能 代 表香港完全 是 為 了 Local market 我 們 希   望 能 為 香 港 樂 壇做 多 點 事，況 且 夾band 不 是 一    件 易 事，大 家 除 了 技術 還 要 有 communication。我 們 各 自 也 經 歷 了 很 多辛 酸 但 得 到 很，多 經 驗到 現 在 大 家 走 在 一 起 可 以 玩 自 己 喜 歡 的 音樂而 且 更 得 到 樂  迷 們 的 支 持我 們 當 然 十 分 開 心。如 果 能 代 表 香 港 到 overseas 有 人 support，那 就 更 加 開 心.

                                  Don and the Chow's have known each other and have been friends since the 70's  and due to the usual crowd control situation in most Chyna Concerts in  which this concert whereas the Honorable Ms.Chow & Family was attending without our knowledge was the Best Support any local group would deeply appreciate for by the fifth song of our performance, the house lights were all turned on and a voice comes over the stadium's speakers announcing that if the crowd does not calm down or return to their seats the show will be cancelled.

Iwas so disappointed that they've always picked on the local bands in a show of power but not the International acts nor would they ban football either when it comes down to crowd control! what really happened was the crowd all stood in front of the stage, cheering on and dancing to our music without any destruction of any kind to the stadiums chairs nor did they bother each other but just simply having a Great time and that was wrong? so , under this senseless pressure i had no choice but to leave the stage and head straight to our dressing room and with my full costume on , i hit the showers just to cool myself down while contemplating on what to or not to do. That was when our Guardian Angel Selina Chow walked into our dressing room which of course was a great surprise and even more when she said  that she and her family came just to see our show instead of Alan Tam's concert which was on the same day as ours and that if she could get the stadium to let us continue our show? would i return to the stage?  - " The Show must go On" as they say: besides our Friends and Fans, Chyna is most grateful for love & support from the Chow Family. Thank you so much.

RAMBAND 鼓王組織了CHYNA 大家還記着 Ramband 嗎？曾幾何時Ramband 在本港樂壇有過幾許叱咤風雲的日子，從[第一屆流行音樂節]美梨道露天停車場、到大會堂、北角大會堂、大專會堂..到處都留下過 Ramband 的足跡，有時閉上眼睛仍依稀聽到些 Rock 友的叫。Ramband 對於我們這一群在香港聽 Rock 的，是一個刻骨銘心的名字。然而天下無不散之筵席，Ramband 散了。

從 Ramband  出的鼓王 Donald Ashley 於是組織了 CHYNA .我問他為甚麽叫做 Chyna？他說：[ 有 一隊 樂隊叫做Asia 但沒有一個是亞洲人 我一直都希望組織一隊真正代表我們亞洲的搖滾樂隊，Chyna 會是一個適當的名字，Chyna  正式組成才二個月己經引起多 人注意了，前幾期的 Billboard  雜誌也有報導有關Chyna 的消息呢。] Chyna 的首張大碟是 There's Rock 'n' Roll In China 玩的果然是純搖滾的樂曲全張唱片最突出的一首是Within You'll Remain，

一陣鋼琴引入的古箏，嘩，那種中西合璧的瑰麗的情操，叫我先 呆了一呆，繼而重復又重復，不忍那些美麗的而帶着痴情的音符離去。這是大碟裏自成一格的歌曲，抒請典雅的味道與其他講求勁力為主的作品不同，Within You'll Remain 軟得像棉花、甜得如蜜Chyna 果然別出心裁Rock 'n' Rolling 是典型Hard Rock的，而Under 32 就近於後期的 Rush，重音量是其次很 Serious，的 一Questions & Answers 亦是節奏很慢的一首，但就不是  Within You'll Remain 般注入東方色彩，而是 Slow Rock 鋼琴著 Vocals 又夾著主音結他在樂器分配方面 Don 和他的 Chyna 即將在伊館作音樂會形式作第一次演出我也想看看他 們怎樣爆出五光十色的音樂火花.

My First Debut Album as Chyna was proven an International Success with seven Languages & Fifteen different arrangements to this day,    Plus "Virgin" records also shown interest in distributing our album in Europe and a Tour to follow which never came to light , if it weren't for  a "Judas" named "T .Brown " working in the record company at the time   hid the documents and faxes from Virgin records which were for us. Maybe it was the politics of the record industry who were at fault more than we should blame it all on Judas Brown for ruining a Great Opportunity for Chyna, and the Record company was afraid to lose their Golden Goose so to speak , to much higher pastures. so, if by chance you're reading this Virgin records? this is what really happened and it wasn't Chyna playing big headed nor playing hard to get. for the Truth shall always be revealed no matter how long but it will. In fact it was 2 years later that another colleague and dear friend before leaving this record company in some ways had gotten a copy of the document to me and is still with me in my library collection till this very day.
